Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Abu Dhabi to lead electrical design across FEED and EPC phases, coordinating with Owners, EPC/FEED Contractors and Vendors to uphold project standards.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical, offshore project experience, and ADNOC exposure with PMC/interface management skills to drive safe, efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 15+ years of relevant Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience.
• 5+ years in GCC region preferred.
• 3+ years in a similar role for international major projects.
• FEED & EPC experience required.
• PMC roles and offshore project experience desired.
• ADNOC project experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and engagement.
• Identify and resolve PM and engineering issues in FEED/EPC phases.
• Review and approve electrical design deliverables and calculations.
• Coordinate with Owner, EPC/FEED Contractor, and Vendors.
• Attend technical meetings and design reviews with multiple stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with design requirements, codes, and standards.
• Oversee contractor deliverables and provide comments/recommendations.
• Coordinate interface activities between EPC/FEED and Owner/third parties.
• Lead participation in layout reviews, design reviews, and workshops.
• Provide technical guidance to other discipline engineers.
• Manage auditing activities and implement improvement recommendations.
• Ensure project quality procedures are established and followed.

Responsibilities:

• Champion the Project Safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities.
• Identifying, evaluating, and resolving Project Management issues during the early work phase and FEED phases of the Project.
• Identifying, evaluating, and resolving Electrical Engineering issues.
• Act on behalf of and as authorized by Owner, on all matters with respect to the EPC / FEED Contractor and shall coordinate Project activities.
• Review and approve within the specified approval durations, the Contractor key deliverables and other works within the electrical discipline, ensuring compliance with design requirements which involves the interpretation and review of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, surveys, structures, system or equipment with relatively few complex features.
• Attend regular or as needed meetings at EPC / FEED Contractor’s Engineering offices and construction Site offices to discuss the progress of EPC / FEED Contractor’s Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities.
• Review and approve the following Contractor’s deliverables.
• Review and approve key design documents from Vendors, equipment manufacturers or Subcontractors and prepare comments and recommendations incorporating any comments received from the Owner.
• Attend technical meeting with Owner, Licensor, Contractor and Vendors.
• Attend all Project technical sessions by the Contractor such as: Design Review Meetings, 3D Model Review Meeting, Constructability, SIL, EIA, HAZOP and HAZID etc.
• Ensuring that the Project quality procedures are established, maintained and implemented by the EPC / FEED Contractor.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of Contractor’s Engineering design activities, system integration, and design selection.
• Supervise and manage the review and approval of Contractor’s work, ensuring compliance with Owner and Project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate the required Engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models. Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to ensure design optimization and validation for the Owner.
• Coordinate other discipline Engineers’ participation in layout reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline Engineers.
• Coordinate auditing activities of the EPC / FEED Contractor and ensure that the recommendations for improvement are implemented.
• Manage and coordinate interface activities between the EPC / FEED Contractor, Owner, as well as with outside third parties.
• Coordinate technical reviews and analysis during vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate the review of technical bid submissions and perform technical bid analysis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including minimum five (5) years (preferred) in GCC region.
• Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position for international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• Experience within FEED & EPC experience required.
• Experience in PMC roles.
• Must have previous experience working in offshore projects.
• ADNOC Project experience is required .
