Job summary

Fatherson International in Dubai, UAE is seeking an Electrical Draftsman with 3–5 years of experience for MEP coordination and preparation of electrical shop drawings. The role involves close collaboration with HVAC, plumbing, and architecture teams to ensure compliant layouts.

Candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, able to manage coordination drawings, and capable of delivering accurate as-built documentation based on site conditions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in MEP contracting companies.
• UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, villas, commercial and residential projects.
• Must have practical experience preparing electrical shop drawings and coordination drawings.
• Knowledge of consultant submission procedures and authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical shop drawings, installation drawings and detailed layouts using AutoCAD.
• Prepare lighting layouts, power layouts and small power drawings.
• Prepare cable tray, cable ladder and trunking routing layouts.
• Prepare electrical containment and conduit layouts.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate electrical drawings with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, Architectural and Structural drawings.
• Identify and resolve clashes between different MEP services.
• Prepare builders' work drawings and opening details.
• Incorporate consultant comments and revise drawings as per project requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on site conditions.
