Job summary

Arab Monetary Fund in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Economist to draft institutional reports, develop indicators, and forecast models, and provide high-level policy advice. You will train staff, engage with member countries, and contribute to economic surveillance and reform program follow-ups, working with internal and external partners.

PhD in economics required; minimum eight years in macroeconomics, research, and policy analysis is expected. Experience with international institutions is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in economics, finance, or a related field.
• Proven macroeconomic analysis, forecasting and policy advisory experience.
• Experience with international/regional financial institutions or central banks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to policy notes highlighting economic and financial reforms for member countries.
• Engage with officials to agree on reform programs and draft reports accordingly.
• Draft surveillance and country reports, assessing macroeconomic developments and reform progress.
• Provide expert policy advice and technical assistance to member countries.
• Prepare macroeconomic and risk analysis at country or regional levels.
• Develop indicators and tools for economic surveillance and forecasting.
• Present findings to internal units and external stakeholders.
• Support training, capacity building, and workshops within AMF’s plan.
