Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Dubai seeks a Technical Director/Associate Director for Development, Planning & Urban Design to lead the DPUD practice across the Middle East.

You will work with the Director to drive growth, manage key client relationships and oversee complex projects, delivering high-impact urban solutions. The role combines business leadership, client-facing oversight, and strategic direction, with responsibility for people leadership, bid pursuits and ensuring delivery excellence across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in urban planning and development, ideally in the Middle East.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and senior client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of urban planning regulations and sustainability principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead business leadership and practice development for the DPUD practice in the Middle East.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, resource planning and senior leadership coordination.
• Drive revenue forecasts, pipelines and capability plans.
• Develop relationships with strategic government, semi-government and private sector clients.
• Represent WSP in executive meetings and industry forums.
• Lead major bids, proposals and strategic pursuits.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with quality, governance and Ways of Working requirements.
