Senior Digital Product Owner

Location

Summary of role
  • The Senior Product Owner will be involved in partnering with the Digital leadership team to develop effective product strategies, visions and execution plans.
  • His/her mission will be to shape and deliver digital solutions that transform customer experiences. For the digital solutions within the portfolio, this individual will define measurable objectives to gain market share, maximize profitability and/or increase customer satisfaction through customer‑centred digital experiences.
  • This role will involve working closely with digital business executives as well as ADIB business product owners to achieve sales targets through digital innovation.
Key accountabilities of the roles
  • Product Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy, aligning it with our business goals and customer needs. Define the product portfolio, make major product decisions, enact product roadmaps (which are developed by the product team) and work with the Digital Factory team to set priorities for what will be built and when.
  • Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key features and enhancements over time.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and market research to gather, document and prioritize product requirements.
  • Journey Design: work closely with Design team to ensure user journey factors all requirement gathered as well as being competitive in market.
  • Prioritization: Determine feature priorities based on business value, customer feedback, and market trends.
  • Squad Management: Lead squad ceremonies and ensure thorough understanding of the requirement by all team members.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA, and Project Managers to ensure successful product development and delivery.
  • Release Planning: Plan and coordinate product releases, including setting release goals and timelines.
  • User Stories: Write and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
  • Feedback Management: Gather and incorporate user feedback to continuously improve the product and enhance the journey.
  • Metrics and Analytics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the product's success.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keep stakeholders informed about the product's progress and any changes in strategy or priorities. As well as lead all squad ceremonies.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends and competitive products to make informed decisions.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role
  • Deep experience in digital product development and marketing ideally in a digital banking environment.
  • Exceptional problem skills and data‑driven product decision‑making; may go beyond application of existing know-how.
  • Ability to understand product metrics and make decisions based on them.
  • Experience with designing creative, quality consumer products, as well as enabling business capability and objectives through technology.
  • Experience in launching a product and managing a live product.
  • Entrepreneurial self‑starter who is self‑motivated, but also a team player with a professional presence.
  • Thought leadership and ability to influence at all levels in the organization.
Previous experience
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of total experience including 7+ years of experience in product development and digital banking deliverable.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience of operating within a multi‑channel/multi‑region brand.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Agile software development processes.
  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
