Responsibilities

• Develop and review telecom design deliverables in compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of telecom systems within overall project design.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and material take‑offs for telecom systems including fiber optics, structured cabling, and communication networks.
• Ensure designs meet constructability, safety, and quality standards while optimizing cost and efficiency.
• Provide technical support during procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Participate in design reviews, resolve technical queries, and liaise with vendors for specialized telecom equipment.
• Maintain adherence to project schedules and deliverables, supporting timely completion of design packages.
• Contribute to HSE compliance and promote best practices throughout design development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in telecom design roles.
• Strong knowledge of telecom systems design for onshore projects; PMC experience on EPC projects is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in relevant design tools and software.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based in office, our Wood office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
