Job summary

Confidential is seeking a seasoned Design Manager to lead the design and engineering activities for Solar PV projects in the UAE, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project requirements from concept through commissioning.

The role requires leadership across electrical and structural design, coordination with clients and utilities, and rigorous review of engineering deliverables to drive on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Solar PV design and engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a Design Manager or Engineering Manager role.
• Experience with utility-scale and commercial Solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of PVsyst, AutoCAD, ETAP, and PV system design.
• Familiarity with utility approvals, grid interconnection requirements, and renewable energy standards.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design lifecycle of Solar PV projects from concept through commissioning.
• Lead electrical and structural design coordination.
• Review and approve technical drawings, calculations and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, utilities and project teams.
• Support tendering activities through technical proposals and design optimization.
