Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists seeks a Senior Data Engineer to architect and build enterprise data infrastructure for a large-scale AI transformation. You will design Data Lakehouses, integrate SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and PLM data, and enable near real-time forecasting and AI-enabled analytics.

In a sprint-zero environment, you will implement data governance, RBAC, and secure on-premise pipelines, while managing vector data for MBSE-related AI drafting and external market feeds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 2 years on building pipelines for ML or Generative AI in an enterprise setting.
• Domain knowledge in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Defence sectors is highly desirable.
• Ability to navigate governance collisions between agile data work and rigid systems engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy data lakehouse ingestion pipelines from SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and PLM systems for near real-time forecasting.
• Build connectors for external market intelligence feeds (S&P Global, Orbis, EcoVadis) to enrich procurement data.
• Design a standardized procurement data model and taxonomy across entities, harmonizing datasets for analytics.
• Ingest and process unstructured data (PDFs, CAD metadata, CONOPS) into vector-ready formats for RAG applications.
