Job summary

Confidential, an Abu Dhabi Government Entity, seeks a Data & AI Expert to lead hands-on AI and data initiatives and to personally design, build and deploy complex AI solutions. The role combines deep technical expertise with architecture leadership, mentoring, and governance across data platforms and GenAI programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or related discipline.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Science or AI.
• 3+ years leading technical teams or major programmes while contributing technically.
• Production AI/Data code experience in the last 12 months.
• Strong Python and SQL expertise.
• Experience delivering enterprise data platforms and AI/GenAI in production.
• Expert-level cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP/OCI).
• Knowledge of MLOps, data governance, data quality, lineage and cataloguing.
• Security, privacy and responsible AI understanding.
• Full professional proficiency in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and personally deliver complex AI and Data initiatives, including enterprise data platforms and GenAI applications.
• Write and review production-grade code, primarily using Python and SQL.
• Design and evolve enterprise data, AI/ML, MLOps and GenAI architectures.
• Develop and deploy modern AI/ML and LLM solutions, including RAG and fine-tuning.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, security, and model evaluation.
• Lead technical evaluations, build-vs-buy analyses and vendor due diligence.
• Develop the AI & Data roadmap aligned with Abu Dhabi Government priorities.
• Mentor and coach Data, AI and Analytics teams.
• Lead AI and Data governance, quality, security and responsible AI practices.
