Job summary

finera. seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen the security team across endpoints, email, network and web-facing payment platforms.

You will own incidents end‑to‑end, drive detection engineering, and manage the enterprise security stack (EDR, email security, DLP, SASE/VPN, WAF, DDoS) in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment. Qualifications

• 7+ years’ hands‑on cybersecurity / security operations / security engineering experience, including senior/lead capacity.
• Proven experience implementing and evidencing PCI DSS controls (and/or ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks).
• Incident‑response ownership across full lifecycle from triage to post‑incident review.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior in‑house L2/L3 escalation point during business hours and own end‑to‑end incident response (triage, containment, eradication, recovery, RCA).
• Own co‑sourced MDR / managed security service for out‑of‑hours coverage; manage escalation matrix and SLAs across 24/7 window.
• Operate, tune and harden SIEM/XDR, EDR, email security, DLP, SASE/VPN, WAF, DDoS; maintain detection content and incident playbooks.
• Drive PCI DSS technical controls implementation with Cybersecurity Lead and QSA, including Cloudflare Layer 7 / WAF / DDoS inputs.
• Review phishing and suspicious email, investigate malware and anomalies; support access reviews and audits.
• Author and maintain SOPs, runbooks and incident reports; mentor staff and reduce single point of failure risk.
