Pentasia is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join a growing fintech/payment platform. The role is open to candidates based in Dubai, UAE or Limassol, Cyprus, and requires onsite work.

You will own security tooling, infrastructure security, incidents and technical controls, with a focus on PCI DSS environments. You should have broad experience across IT Operations and Security Operations, strong incident response skills, and hands-on experience with SIEM/XDR, EDR, DLP, SASE/VPN, WAF,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on cybersecurity/security engineering experience.
• Broad experience across IT operations and security operations.
• Hands-on infrastructure/security engineering, not just alert monitoring.
• Experience owning/administering tools such as SIEM/XDR, EDR, email security, DLP, SASE/VPN, WAF, DDoS and API security.
• Experience with MDR/managed SOC providers, including escalations and SLAs.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, DORA, ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Benchmarks.

Senior Cybersecurity Engineer | Dubai or Limassol, Cyprus

I’m hiring for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join a growing fintech/payment platform.

This role is open to candidates already based in Dubai, UAE or Limassol, Cyprus.

This is a hands-on Security Engineering role, not a traditional SOC Analyst position. The client is looking for someone with a broad background across IT Operations and Security Operations, who can own security tools, infrastructure security, incidents and technical controls.

You’ll be supporting a PCI DSS environment and helping protect payment platforms across endpoint, email, network, cloud and web-facing systems.

What we’re looking for:

• Currently based in Dubai or Limassol
• Comfortable working onsite
• 7+ years’ hands-on cybersecurity / security engineering experience
• Broader experience across IT Operations and Security Operations
• Hands-on infrastructure/security engineering experience, not just alert monitoring
• Strong incident response experience from triage through to post-incident review
• Experience owning/administering tools such as SIEM/XDR, EDR, email security, DLP, SASE/VPN, WAF, DDoS and API security
• Experience with MDR / managed SOC providers, including escalations and SLAs
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, DORA, ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Benchmarks

Nice to have:

• Active certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Security+, Check Point, Palo Alto or Fortinet
• Cloudflare, Check Point Harmony or similar platform experience
• Experience using AI tools to support day-to-day security work
