Job summary

Wood is seeking a Specialist Corrosion Engineer for a client secondment in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with a three-year assignment. You will lead corrosion management programmes, provide expert guidance on materials and coatings, and mentor engineering personnel across a large asset portfolio.

The role emphasizes corrosion risk assessments, RBI integration, and alignment with industry standards, with a focus on safe, reliable operations for major energy assets in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a engineering discipline related to corrosion and materials.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred.
• AMPP/NACE Corrosion Specialist certification is expected.
• API 571/580/API 510/570/653 certifications strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of corrosion management programmes for client assets.
• Provide specialist technical expertise in corrosion engineering and materials selection.
• Lead CRAS studies and support RBI and IOW development.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to integrity personnel.
• Develop technical reports and engineering recommendations.
