Job summary

This role involves providing guidance on hydrogen and low carbon fuels, leading projects on emissions reduction, and leveraging advanced simulation tools. With a requirement for a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree and preferably 15 years of experience in the energy sector, candidates must possess strong programming and presentation skills. The position aims to meet clients' decarbonization objectives while ensuring successful project economics.

Role And Responsibilities

• Navigate technology routes to Grey Blue and Green Hydrogen and Hydrogen derivatives production
• Navigate technology routes for Carbon Capture leading to eMeOH production
• Navigate technology routes for Grey and Low Carbon Fuels
• Provide guiding principles in emissions reduction to the continuous process industries primarily the hydrocarbons sector
• Provide guiding principles in energy efficiency measures to the continuous process industries primarily the hydrocarbons sector
• Lifecycle cost assessment of Licensed solutions for the above via discounted cash flow analysis (capital costing to be performed by others outside the function)
• Provide guidance as a billable SME across multiple studies
• Be Client facing leading opening and middle game discussions influencing RFPs and leading our clients to meet their decarbonization business objectives.
• Thought leadership in the synthesis of fuels and chemicals
• Customer approaches providing guidance on how to navigate fuels and chemicals plays
• Open / Middle game activities to grow / shape opportunities
• Proposal story board including methodology / differentiators and bespoke narratives.
• Provide SME oversight on to ensure consistency and continuity with proposal and sector trends

Skills And Experience

• Bachelors degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical)
• Preferably with 15 years experience in the energy sector
• Fluent with decarbonization and new energy production technologies and Licensors
• Fluent in Low Carbon Fuels (i.e. SAF)
• Able to simulate and monetize technology preferences (AspenPlus HYSYS Unisim Promax Protreat or preferred package)
• Strong programming skills (Python Matlab Fortran etc.
• Strong presentation and influencing skills enabling Worleys differentiators and value proposition to shine through a formal proposal package
