Job summary

A leading construction firm in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Construction Manager and Interface Manager to oversee field activities on major airport projects ranging from $50M to $250M. The ideal candidate has over 15 years of experience, a PE license, and a background in airport construction or large civil projects. Responsibilities include project planning, budget management, and liaison with clients and contractors. Strong managerial and communication skills are essential. This role allows for onsite work or a hybrid schedule.

Senior Construction Manager and Interface Manager

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons seeks an experienced leader to manage field construction activities for projects ranging from $50M to $250M, preferably for airfield projects at commercial airports. The role requires supervision of contractor construction, inspection, and coordination in a 24/7 airport operating environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Direct overall construction planning, identify critical milestones, and review contractor proposals for major airport projects.
  • Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule of required services.
  • Ensure availability of subcontractors and major equipment providers to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Assign construction professionals and support disciplines, monitor progress, and recommend corrective actions to achieve objectives.
  • Manage assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and meet budgetary goals.
  • Maintain oversight of potential problem areas and take preventive actions to meet critical milestones.
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing construction progress for higher-level management and client review.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend promotions and salary actions of direct reports.
  • Implement all company, client, and relevant regulatory policies and procedures affecting project progress.
  • Serve as primary contact with client representative, subcontractors, and government representatives affecting construction activities.
  • Lead and oversee all construction and operational interfaces across contractors, consultants, and airport stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain strong client and community relations to promote project and assist in meeting sustainability requirements.
  • Manage a team of Inspectors and Resident Engineers.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the construction of airports or large civil structural projects at domestic and/or foreign locations.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Field construction experience required.
