Job summary

A global construction company in the UAE is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to manage all commercial aspects of a major project. This role involves cost control, contract administration, and leading negotiations to ensure successful project delivery within budget. Ideal candidates will have over 10 years of commercial management experience in large-scale construction projects, strong knowledge of construction contracts, and a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or similar. Qualifications

  • At least 10 years in commercial management within large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC or similar) and financial management.
  • Experience working in the Middle-East.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of the project to ensure delivery within budget.
  • Oversee procurement strategies to secure best value while maintaining quality.
  • Administer main and subcontractor contracts including managing variations.
  • Monitor financial risks and report on project costs and cash flow.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to protect company's position.
  • Support project team in identifying and managing risks.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present monthly commercial reports to senior management.
