Job summary

Dubai-based law firm is expanding its Advocacy unit and seeks a UK- or Australian-qualified Barrister with 2+ years Call/PQE to handle high-value commercial disputes in a dynamic Gulf market.

You will advise and represent clients in banking and finance disputes, insolvency and general commercial litigation, developing advocacy strategies and appearing in hearings while working with the wider disputes team.

Qualifications

• UK or Australian qualification as Barrister
• 2+ years of Call/PQE
• Strong commercial disputes experience
• Experience in banking & finance, insolvency or general commercial disputes
• Excellent advocacy, research, and written skills
• Commercially minded with client advisory ability
• Based in UK or Australia will be considered

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of commercial disputes and contentious matters
• Advise and represent clients on complex commercial disputes
• Develop and present advocacy strategies across matters
• Work on banking, insolvency and general commercial disputes
• Prepare for and participate in hearings and advocacy proceedings
• Collaborate with disputes and legal teams on high-value matters
• Develop strong client relationships and provide commercially focused advice
