Senior Civil Construction Workpack Engineer – Sharjah, UAE

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Construction Workpack Engineer to join our UAE business unit in Sharjah, UAE.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Construction Workpack Engineer.

Our Clients and Projects

Wood has been awarded a general engineering contract to support an international client operator to deliver a portfolio of onshore capital projects by provision of engineering and project management services (including EPC contract management), as well as supply chain, construction and commissioning support from Wood Iraq and UAE offices.

Projects include both greenfield and brownfield modification projects and the integration of low‑carbon solutions to support our client’s energy transition and emissions reduction goals.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities
  • Compilation of discipline construction work packs
  • HSE input to construction work packs
  • Provide constructability input into engineering design
  • Review of engineering deliverables
  • Provision of construction input to work packs to ensure a quality deliverable is produced
  • Ensure constructability aspects of design

Expected
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction/construction work pack development in an O&G environment
  • Relevant qualification (time served with relevant experience or ONC/HNC or equivalent)
  • Experience as a construction engineer or supervisor on onshore brownfield modifications work
  • Proficiency in taking engineering design deliverables and developing the necessary construction input into a work pack
  • Knowledge of, and experience in using, WPS system – a distinct advantage
  • Proficiency in the use of Navisworks and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Fluent spoken and written English
