Job summary

Astra ProMed in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly qualified Consultant Cardiologist to join a leading healthcare facility. The role requires extensive experience in cardiovascular disease diagnosis, imaging, preventive care and complex heart-condition management.

Applicants should be board-certified, with multinational qualifications desirable, and eligible for DOH Consultant Cardiology classification in Abu Dhabi. A competitive package and licensing support are offered.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree required.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiology.
• Board certification or equivalent consultant-level qualification.
• International qualifications are highly desirable.
• Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases including CAD and heart failure.
• Conduct cardiac consultations, examinations and risk assessments.
• Perform and interpret ECG, echocardiography, stress testing and monitoring.
• Evaluate chest pain, palpitations, valvular disease and cardiomyopathies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on guidelines.
• Provide preventive cardiology and lifestyle counseling.
• Coordinate emergency interventions for acute cardiac conditions.
• Interpret cardiac imaging and labs within clinical privileges.
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists and surgeons.
• Educate patients on cardiovascular health and adherence.
