Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in Agile software development, product backlog management, and a proven track record in the logistics domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-impact product features with precision and clarity.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage product backlogs for Agile software projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with Client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements.
- Conduct thorough system analysis and interpret features directly from development code where needed.
- Write and execute complex database queries for system validation and troubleshooting.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and other Agile artefacts for the development team.
- Create and maintain critical project documentation including:
- Project Initiation Document (PID)
- System Requirements Specification (SRS)
- User Interface Prototypes
- Process Maps and Business Models
- Model and reengineer business processes for increased operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the quality assurance process by validating features against requirements.
- Propose innovative solutions and continuous improvements to existing processes and workflows.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience with at least:
- 3 years in Agile product backlog and requirement management
- 1 year in software development or quality assurance
- Strong domain expertise in logistics and supply chain operations
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking capabilities
- Proficiency in modern requirement management tools and documentation systems
- Familiarity with UI prototyping tools and business process modeling tools
- Ability to interpret developer code to extract business logic and assess feature impact
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience writing and executing database queries
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- High degree of work commitment, attention to detail, and problem-solving acumen
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certification in Agile Business Analysis, Scrum, or equivalent would be an added advantage
