Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks a Testing & Commissioning Manager – BESS & PCS Specialist to lead end-to-end commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems for utility-scale projects in the UAE. You will ensure safe integration of BESS, PCS, BMS, EMS, and safety systems to meet grid codes and contract requirements prior to commercial operation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Power/Energy Engineering.
10–12 years of experience in BESS commissioning for hybrid/solar+storage projects.
Direct OEM commissioning exposure is preferred.
Certified training in battery safety and fire systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and PCS to IEC 62933/UL/IEC standards.
Review and input to engineering documents, test plans, and safety risk assessments.
Verify installation readiness and perform pre-commissioning checks on battery racks, PCS, HVAC, and electrical stations.
Coordinate with PPC/EMS, Substation, and SCADA teams for commissioning activities.
Perform functional tests, validate EMS logic for peak shaving and frequency support.
Troubleshoot integration issues across BMS, PCS, EMS, PPC, SCADA, and grid systems.
