Job summary

NorthBay Solutions is seeking a Backend Developer in Abu Dhabi to design and implement scalable backend systems. You will work on RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud deployment in a hybrid/on-site setup, with 5–8 years of hands-on experience.

The role involves building scalable APIs, containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes, testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance software solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with Python (preferred) or another language.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Mocha, Jest) and test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs for enterprise applications.
• Build and deploy microservices with a focus on performance and maintainability.
• Implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with front-end, DevOps and data engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Optimize backend performance and ensure security across the development lifecycle.
