Job summary

Fuse Energy is hiring a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer to build the core digital infrastructure for a next-generation energy company. You’ll work closely with product across the full back-end and engineer backend systems that are second to none.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Proven ability to define and build complex systems.
• Hands-on experience shipping highly available production systems.
• Clear communication skills.
• Bonus: AWS CDK; energy sector experience; consumer-facing products.

Responsibilities

• Construct a real-time digital twin of our renewable generation and customer demand.
• Develop messaging interfaces with our third-party providers.
• Build high-volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption.
• Build the backend of a world-class energy app.
• Take ownership of projects, adapt to new business needs and drive change.
• Demonstrable excellence as a software engineer.
