Job summary

Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior leader to head Maintenance Planning, ensuring on-time delivery of maintenance slots and compliance with airworthiness standards. You will shape departmental procedures and budget planning while coordinating with service providers and regulators.

The role requires seven plus years in maintenance planning, a technical degree or ICAO license, and proven management ability.

Qualifications

Technical degree or HND in aeronautical engineering, or ICAO type I/II license.
Minimum seven years in a Maintenance Planning environment.
Proven management at supervisory level.
From MRO or aviation operations background.
Up-to-date airworthiness and health and safety knowledge.
Experience delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong planning and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the Maintenance Planning department to meet commitments to service providers, staff and regulators.
Develop and operate procedures to meet national airworthiness regulations and KPI dashboard.
Establish efficient internal procedures and support other departments.
Deliver annual budgets for maintenance costs.
Review workforce performance and drive improvements.
Interface with internal/external departments and network scheduling for maintenance slots.
Represent the Planning department at meetings and ensure follow-up actions.
Oversee lifecycle of each maintenance project including pre-input, wash-up, A check and higher.
Ensure quality lapses are investigated and remedied per procedures; monitor CAMO paperwork via audits.
Perform other duties as assigned by Head/Senior Manager of Maintenance Planning.
