Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) seeks a driven HR Project Manager to oversee OE & Talent Development initiatives in Dubai. You will guide project conception, planning, execution, and handover, ensuring alignment with strategy and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HR with leadership experience, deep knowledge of employee lifecycle, HR systems, and change management, plus strong analytical and communication abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR management or equivalent (preferably with postgraduate degree).
  • 5 years or more HR experience with leadership responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of employee lifecycle, HR systems and processes.
  • Understanding of organisation effectiveness and development concepts (e.g., engagement, training needs analysis, design & delivery).
  • Knowledge of project management and change management practices.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills; ability to plan complex projects; ability to influence teams.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and grow; agile and resilient.

Responsibilities

  • Manage OE & Talent Development projects or workstreams to meet objectives, KPIs, and timely delivery.
  • Support identification and development of strategic initiatives aligned with EGA strategy.
  • Define project scope, budget, timelines and required resources.
  • Establish performance measures and baselines for project success.
  • Define roles/responsibilities and stakeholder map to enable efficient execution.
  • Oversee project delivery across workstreams; ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Foster a positive, learning-oriented approach to development and growth.
  • Report project status and progress to plan for informed decision-making.
  • Ensure proper handover to operational teams when applicable; maintain change management discipline.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Manage selected OE & Talent Development projects, or project workstreams, ensuring the projects achieve the agreed business objectives, meet KPIS and are delivered in a timely and effective way across the organisation. Individual projects could be in any area of accountability for the OE & Talent Development Team including, but not limited to:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Project conception and initiation
  • Support in the identification and development of strategic initiatives enabling projects in line with EGA and HC Function Strategy and Departmental priorities (balanced score card) in order to support the achievement of EGA’s objectives and ambitions for growth.
  • Project definition and planning
  • Developing project charter/scope, outlining the work to be performed in order to calculate budget, timeframe, and determine the required resources for the project.
  • Defining performance measures and baselines to ensure that project can be measured against relevant criteria.
  • Defining roles and responsibilities to avoid unnecessary approvals and enable efficient project management, this includes identifying stakeholders such as the project sponsor, subject matter experts, project manager and project team.
  • Project delivery
  • Works on assigned work-streams/ tasks within the overall project plan including the design, development and implementation of key deliverables.
  • Takes ownership of the quality and timeliness of deliverables, ensuring that key stakeholders are appropriately involved and issues/barriers to progress are resolved in a timely, effective manner or alternate solutions are identified.
  • Works with key stakeholders across EGA and externally creating collaborative working relations and a focused, results based approach to project delivery.
  • Embodies a positive, learning oriented attitude to project work creating the potential for development and growth in self and others.
  • Project performance and control
  • Reports on project status and progress to plan, and helps in facilitating informed decision making to ensure that projects remain on track as per agreed timelines, specifications and budget.
  • Project close and handover
  • Communicates changes in line with change management good practice and sound methodology to ensure effective implementation and adoption thereby increasing the likelihood of project success.
  • Undertakes the necessary tasks and initiatives to ensure effective handover of the project to the concerned operational team when applicable.
  • Safety, Quality & Environment
  • Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental policies, procedures and controls across in order to enable employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
AUTHORITY/ DECISION MAKING

Thinking within broadly defined policies and objectives
Projects which will impact other functional areas usually require approval before being implemented. Work is subject to broad practices and procedures with general direction of output being managed by the job holder.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or equivalent with preferably a post graduate degree.
  • Minimum Experience:
  • 5 years relevant experience in HR with leadership experience.
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Knowledge of Employee lifecycle, HR systems and processes
  • Understanding of key organisation effectiveness and organisation development concepts (such as employee engagement, training needs analysis, design & delivery)
  • Knowledge of project management and change management practices
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

  • Ability to lead and influence teams including lateral leadership (leading without authority)
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills, adapt and grow
