Mubadala is seeking an experienced Government Affairs professional to shape strategic priorities, support executive decision-making, and engage stakeholders across local and international fronts. The role requires presenting insights to leadership and contributing to the growth of Mubadala's influence in the UAE and beyond.

You will drive strategic projects, develop country reports, and mentor junior colleagues while collaborating with global offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Strategy, Economics, International Relations, Political Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience within sovereign wealth funds, investment organizations, strategy consulting, government advisory, or multinational organisations.
• Strong understanding of Abu Dhabi Government priorities and the regional geopolitical landscape.

• Partner with leadership to support strategic priorities, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, briefing materials, reports, and strategic communications for senior stakeholders.
• Conduct research and analysis on geopolitical, economic, government, and investment-related developments to support leadership decision-making.
• Develop country reports, leadership briefs, and strategic insights by synthesizing complex information into clear recommendations.
• Support engagement with local and international stakeholders, including government entities, strategic partners, and investment platforms.
• Drive collaboration across Investment Platforms, Corporate Functions, and international offices.
• Lead strategic projects and initiatives for the Government Affairs function.
• Enhance reporting frameworks, governance processes, and management information for decision-making.
• Advise on best practices and opportunities to mature the function.
• Mentor junior team members and foster knowledge sharing.

What you will do

Job Purpose

• The role will work closely with Government Affairs leadership to shape strategic priorities, support executive decision-making, and drive engagement across key internal and external stakeholders.
• Acting as a trusted advisor, the successful candidate will provide strategic insight, develop executive-level content, oversee complex stakeholder engagements, and contribute to the continued development and maturity of the Government Affairs function.

In this role, you will be responsible for

• Partnering closely with leadership to support strategic priorities, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Preparing executive-level presentations, briefing materials, reports, and strategic communications for senior stakeholders.
• Conducting research and analysis on geopolitical, economic, government, and investment-related developments to support leadership decision-making.
• Developing country reports, leadership briefs, and strategic insights by synthesizing complex information into clear and actionable recommendations.
• Supporting engagement with local and international stakeholders, including government entities, strategic partners, and investment platforms.
• Driving collaboration and alignment across Investment Platforms, Corporate Functions, and international offices.
• Leading strategic projects and special initiatives on behalf of the Government Affairs function.
• Enhancing reporting frameworks, governance processes, and management information to support effective decision-making.
• Advising on best practices and continuous improvement opportunities to further strengthen and mature the function.
• Supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team.

What will you bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring

• Relevant years of professional experience in strategy, economics, international affairs, public policy, finance, investment management, or a related field.
• Strong business, commercial, and investment acumen with the ability to analyse complex issues and provide strategic recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives and leadership-level stakeholders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive reports, briefing materials, and presentations.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience engaging with a broad range of international and multicultural stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
• High levels of professionalism, discretion, maturity, and sound judgement.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A collaborative mindset with experience developing and supporting junior team members.
