Standard Chartered is seeking a Senior Associate Director, Insurance to lead insurance referrals for Priority Banking clients in the UAE.   • Coordinate client events and seminars with brokers and internal stakeholders.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Associate Director, Insurance to support the delivery of insurance and legacy planning solutions for Priority Banking clients in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Working alongside Relationship Managers (RMs), Insurance Specialists (ISs) and approved insurance brokers, you will drive client engagement, facilitate referrals and support business growth while maintaining high standards of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Coordinate insurance referrals between Priority Banking Relationship Managers (PrB RMs), Insurance Specialists (ISs) and approved insurance brokers, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Monitor referral activity and maintain accurate client records.
  • Identify and address process inefficiencies to improve referral outcomes.
  • Partner with regional and country stakeholders to ensure alignment of referral practices.
  • Support the promotion of wealth, protection and legacy planning solutions across the business.
  • Assist in managing relationships with approved insurance brokers and external partners.
Business
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions for Priority Banking Relationship Managers (PrB RMs) and Client Service Managers (CSMs) on insurance referral processes and governance requirements.
  • Coordinate client events and seminars with insurance brokers and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a key point of contact for insurance referral-related enquiries.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback to enhance referral processes and client experience.
  • Review clients' financial needs and identify referral opportunities for insurance solutions.
Processes
  • Ensure all referrals are managed in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Maintain referral tracking records and prepare relevant management reports.
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Support complaint management and coordinate timely resolution of issues.
  • Monitor operational risks and elevate concerns relating to documentation, compliance or referral activities.
  • Stay informed of regulatory developments affecting insurance business activities.
  • Assist in preparing updates and presentations for senior management.

  • Support and train Relationship Managers on offshore protection, savings and legacy planning solutions.
Risk Management
  • Ensure referrals to approved third-party brokers are conducted in line with compliance standards.
  • Promote high-quality sales and service standards delivered through broker partnerships.
Governance
  • Identify and elevate suspicious transactions, potential money laundering activities, fraud or forgery concerns.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of professional conduct and uphold the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for maintaining strong ethical, regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Proactively identify, elevate, manage and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
