Responsibilities
- Technical Review & Vetting: Conduct detailed, multi-disciplinary technical review of all Issued-For-Construction (IFC) drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. Highlight discrepancies, constructability issues, and non-compliance with specifications.
- Design & RFI Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for the design team and consultants. Raise, track, and close all Requests for Information (RFIs) and Technical Queries promptly to prevent delays on-site.
- Site Support & Problem Solving: Provide rapid, practical, and technically sound solutions to on-site execution issues, conflicts, and clashes (Architectural, Structural, MEP interface).
- Compliance & Approvals: Ensure all materials and construction methodologies strictly adhere to Project Specifications and relevant UAE Authority Regulations (e.g., DM, DDA, DCD, ADM, etc.). Support the final inspection and handover process.
- Document Control: Maintain a robust, up-to-date log of all technical documents, revisions, and approvals to ensure the site is always working with the latest controlled information.
- Quality & Standards: Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to ensure the highest standards of workmanship are achieved as per the approved technical details.
- Value Engineering (VE): Propose and evaluate value engineering options for architectural and structural systems, ensuring quality and design intent are maintained while achieving cost savings.
Qualifications
- Education: Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
- Experience: 10-15 years of experience in Architecture, with at least 5+ years working specifically for a Main Contractor on high‑rise projects.
- Project History: Proven experience on high‑rise or mid‑rise building projects (commercial, residential, or mixed‑use).
- Core Expertise: Proven experience in design coordination and hands‑on construction‑stage architectural management.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of international building codes, local authority approvals (e.g., DM, DDA), and construction methodologies.
- Software Skills: Expert in Revit Software is mandatory. Proficiency in AutoCAD is also expected.
- Location: Must be based in the UAE and available to join on short notice.
