Job summary

Inception42 is seeking a Sr. Applied Scientist to advance efficient deep-learning and GenAI models. You will lead research across computer vision, NLP, and audio to build real-world AI solutions and optimize state-of-the-art algorithms.

Collaborating with product teams, you’ll translate innovations into product-ready capabilities, perform proofs of concept, and support client engagements with technical insights and scalable implementations.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, or AI-related field. Specialization in Computer Vision, NLP or Speech and Audio is desirable.
• Minimum 8 years of experience developing AI algorithms across modalities.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI designs and protocols (MCP, A2A, agentic orchestration).
• Hands-on experience with Python for prototyping GenAI solutions.
• Expertise in optimizing advanced RAG architectures and designing information retrieval systems.
• Experience integrating Agentic solutions on enterprise data platforms (Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Understanding of latest Agentic and RAG research and innovation areas.
• Track record of high-level research, publications or product-driven RD.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze and optimize AI algorithms across modalities including text, audio and vision.
• Develop multi-modal solutions combining text, audio and visuals for real-world apps.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to optimize algorithms for efficiency and scalability.
• Work with product teams to integrate new models into offerings and conduct POCs per client needs.
• Propose AI-driven scenarios to improve customer business efficiency.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to business development.

Inception is seeking a highly proficient and accomplished Sr. Applied Scientist, with a proven track record, to develop efficient deep-learning and generative AI algorithms and conceive innovative AI-centric models. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our product development teams, applying emerging technologies across a diverse range of applications.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Own

In the Sr. Applied Scientist role you will play a crucial part in pioneering research and development across various facets of AI, including but not limited to computer vision, natural language processing, and audio signal processing. Your work will involve the creation and optimization of cutting-edge AI algorithms and deep learning models, contributing to advancements in areas such as semantic understanding, multidimensional data interpretation, and human-machine interactions. Furthermore, your innovative efforts will be applied to a spectrum of practical use cases, serving pivotal industries such as finance, oil and gas, environmental science, and healthcare, thereby driving forward the frontier of impactful AI solutions in real-world scenarios.

• Engage in the design, analysis and optimization of foundational and applied research to power the state-of-the-art AI algorithms and model capabilities at Inception. This will involve staying well-informed of emerging trends, understanding and manipulating complex datasets, and conceptualizing models that are both innovative and applicable to real-world scenarios.
• Work on comprehensive solutions that integrate various modalities, including text, audio, and visual data, enhancing the AI's ability to understand and interpret human interaction in a more nuanced manner.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers across teams at Inception for the design, development, and continual improvement of AI algorithms, ensuring the implementations of such algorithms are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Work alongside product development teams to integrate new algorithms and models into broader product offerings, and conduct proofs of concept (POC) as per client needs, ensuring that these innovations translate into tangible benefits for users and stakeholders.
• Propose scenarios where AI techniques could improve the efficiency of the customer’s business.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the business development team.

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in computer science, engineering, or AI-related field. Specialization in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing or Speech and Audio are highly desirable.
