Job summary

RAKBANK in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Information Security Specialist to ensure regulatory compliance and align policies with Central Bank standards. You will review logs for key applications, manage IT security procedures, and support intranet communications for the IT division.

The role emphasizes auditing readiness, coordinating patch schedules, and coordinating third-party penetration tests, while maintaining dashboards and awareness initiatives across the bank's computing

Qualifications

• Good standard of oral and written communication to issue instructions or guidelines, make proposals, issue internal circulars, draft correspondence.
• Analysing skills on ACL / Business Objects / Database Querying tool to substantiate the work required to be done.
• Knowledge of Relevant UAE Central Bank, and Government policies and regulations relating to compliance responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Review daily security logs for critical applications such as Equation, Prime, Online, Raknet, Beam etc.
• Maintain a schedule for information technology policies and procedures and proactively give comments to improve the policies and procedures for IT division.
• Preparing and maintaining Intranet pages of IT division.
• Perform the User ID cleanup once in a year and conduct specific application cleanup when needed.
• Organising information security awareness sessions on the intranet and maintaining the statistics about it for IT division.
• Verify information security compliance by scheduling and conducting surprise checks (E.g. Restoration of backup tapes, user's desktop, configuration details of computing devices such as routers and firewall,password length in the OU etc.,)
• Preparing patch management schedule for various applications and operating systems and liaise with Information technology departments for effective implementation.
• Schedule third-party Penetration test and co-ordinate with IT users about the results.
• Assess the information security events and inform the risks that are attached to the incident.
• Verifying Information Security approvals mailbox, and make sure that approval requests are responded.
• Verify the effectiveness of the Information Security activities along with Infosec team members.
• Ensuring IT security process are implemented and adhered across in Rakbank computing environment
• Preparing and maintaining Information Security and IT assurance Dashboard and publishing it regularly.
• Preparing and constantly updating information security related events that are happening worldwide for easy reference.
• Getting the separation list from the HR department and verify the user id are revoked on a timely basis.
• Make sure antivirus updates have been implemented on a weekly / monthly basis.
• Reviewing the internet usage of the users verify compliance of internet usage policy of the bank.
• Reviewing the administrator's userid and privileges assigned to various business applications and various technology tools that are implemented on the corporate computing environment.
• Helping the ISM in scheduling on Audit responses on behalf of IT division.

About the role:

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: University degree or equivalent qualification
• Minimum experience: University degree or equivalent qualification

What You Should Have:

Technical competence in Quality assurance, Information Systems Auditing, Networking, Database Management, Operating system & Application Development.
