Job summary

RAKBANK in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Finance professional to oversee regulatory reporting, including monthly and annual returns to the CBUAE and reporting for subsidiaries such as Protégo and RAK FS.

The role emphasizes accuracy under tight deadlines, data analysis, and collaboration with regulators, stakeholders, and IT to automate processes using Power BI and Excel, while building governance controls and robust financial reporting.

Qualifications

• UAE National (with Family Book).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, or Financial Analysis.
• Understanding of banking regulations, accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of CBUAE regulations, Basel III, IFRS, DFSA, and Insurance Authority requirements is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, or CFA (or progression towards certification) are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
• Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual regulatory returns to the CBUAE.
• Manage regulatory reporting requirements for RAKBANK subsidiaries, including Protégo and RAK FS.
• Ensure all regulatory submissions are accurate, complete, and delivered within regulatory deadlines.
• Review financial reports, MIS reports, and performance analysis provided by various finance stakeholders.
• Support management with financial reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, regulators, and technology teams to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.
• Drive reporting efficiency through automation, data extraction, validation, and process improvement using tools such as Power BI and advanced Excel.
• Support governance and control activities, including monthly e-Governance submissions and reporting controls.
