Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Program Director - Airport Terminals to lead planning, design, and delivery of major airport terminal programs. This senior role interfaces with airport authorities, owners, and executive stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

You will oversee multidisciplinary teams spanning architects and engineers, directing phased execution from planning through construction support, with focus on cost, schedule, quality, and passenger experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive experience delivering major aviation infrastructure projects.
• Leadership of large airport terminal design programs within the United States or internationally.
• Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Proven ability to oversee large capital programs with multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience working with airport authorities, owners, executive leadership, and major program stakeholders.
• Thorough understanding of airport planning, terminal design, passenger experience, and operational requirements.
• Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, or Public-Private Partnerships (P3).
• Ability to lead high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of major airport terminal design and redevelopment programs.
• Serve as primary executive interface with airport owners, program management teams, and key stakeholders.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams consisting of architects, engineers, planners, and specialty consultants.
• Develop program execution strategies that support cost, schedule, quality, and risk objectives.
• Provide executive oversight throughout planning, design, procurement, and construction support phases.
• Manage project governance, reporting, and executive communications.
• Guide technical decision-making while balancing operational, commercial, and passenger experience priorities.
• Coordinate with design-build teams, CMAR teams, joint ventures, and alternative delivery partners.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies for large, complex programs.
• Mentor and develop project managers and technical leaders across the aviation practice.
• Support business development activities, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives.
