Job summary

Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is seeking a Lead Researcher to spearhead advanced AI research within its AI Research Center in the United Arab Emirates. You will lead projects from conception to completion, mentor junior researchers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical advancements into practical applications.

The role requires a PhD and 5+ years of AI research experience, with expertise in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and strong programming skills.

Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
5+ years of research experience in AI or related domains.
Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Java.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and big data technologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

Design and conduct original research in AI, including ML, DL, NLP, and CV.
Oversee research projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with objectives.
Develop and implement novel algorithms and models for real-world applications.
Stay current with AI advancements and integrate emerging technologies.
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to apply findings.
Present results through reports, presentations, and publications in top conferences.
Guide and mentor junior researchers and interns on methodologies.
Ensure adherence to ethical standards and responsible AI practices.
