A dynamic energy technology company based in Dubai is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial operations and ensure compliance with UAE and GCC regulations. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly with Tally ERP, and be capable of handling multi-location finance tasks. The Senior Accountant will manage the company's financial operations from the Dubai office, ensuring compliance with UAE and relevant GCC (KSA, Kuwait)regulations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience using Tally ERP and managing multi-location finance tasks. The role requires occasional business travel within the GCC region to support local finance teams or operations.
Oversee daily accounting functions, including the management of the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Perform timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing procedures, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, managing all related filings and documentation.
Coordinate and support finance teams in other GCC countries (e.g., KSA, Kuwait) to ensure local compliance with VAT/Zakat and other relevant tax authorities (e.g., ZATCA).
Utilize Tally ERP software for all daily entries, transaction processing, and report generation.
Ensure consistency and data integrity across different regional branches/entities using the Tally system.
Coordinate with external auditors in the UAE and provide remote support for audits in other GCC locations.
Analyze financial data, prepare budgets and forecasts, and provide actionable insights to management.
Undertake occasional business trips to GCC countries to provide on-site finance support, training, or audit assistance as required (estimated 10-20% travel time).
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE or KSA.
Experience managing finance/accounting tasks across multiple geographic locations is a significant advantage.
Proficiency in Tally ERP software is essential.
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and GCC tax/regulatory frameworks (UAE VAT/CT, KSA VAT/Zakat).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. High attention to detail, adaptability, and the willingness to travel for work.
