Job summary

Confidential Company in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced senior accountant to prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and lead the month-end close. You will conduct detailed variance analysis and present strategic recommendations to management to improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in industrial sector or multinational.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP to ensure transparency and provide insights for strategic decision-making
• Lead the month-end close process ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time to maintain operational efficiency
• Conduct detailed variance analysis identifying trends and discrepancies and presenting actionable recommendations to management for improved financial performance
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes including timely invoicing and follow-up for collections to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding debts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable for advanced financial acumen.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably within the Industrial sector or a multinational corporation.
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting, showcasing the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
