Job description

We’re looking for a hands-on, solutions-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at Ziina. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across the business so we're looking for the right person who will understand the business from an engineering, product and operational perspective. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings strong operational discipline, and is excited to build and scale accounting foundations in a modern fintech setting.

As a Senior Accountant at Ziina, you will:

• Oversee the data flowing into the accounting software
• Analyze financial data to verify accuracy, identify variances and implement improvements
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Assist in preparing reconciliation and executing month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the company's financial reporting capabilities
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
• Set up the core processes needed for scale and international expansion.

To succeed in this role, you likely:

• Have 6 + years in operational accounting and building scalable systems
• CPA or CMA certification
• Are comfortable using data tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python) to perform data and financial analysis
• Can communicate financial data needs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Have experience collaborating with or guiding engineering teams in fragmented data flow to accounting software
• Operate with a detail‑oriented mindset and can manage competing priorities in a fast‑moving, cross‑functional environment.
• Have built or significantly contributed to an Accounting function from scratch
