Job summary

Eaton Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Middle East Controllership team and support the E33 Manufacturing Plant in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on manufacturing accounting, inventory and month-end close activities, with emphasis on internal controls and statutory reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/finance, experience with SAP/Oracle, and the ability to partner with business leaders on financial insight and initiatives within a multinational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting/ Finance.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary finance point of escalation for project-related finance matters.
• Ensure robust financial controls, month-end closings, and reconciliations.
• Develop and implement SOPs in line with corporate policies and internal controls.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings for the manufacturing plant.
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
• Support inventory accounting, product costing, and manufacturing accounting processes.
• Provide financial guidance to stakeholders and document accounting entries.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong SAP and/or Oracle ERP expertise to join our Middle East Controllership team and support the E33 Manufacturing Plant in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing accounting, inventory and month-end close activities, support statutory reporting, internal controls, and business partnering. This role will serve as a key finance contact for operational and strategic initiatives, ensuring compliance with corporate policies while supporting the plant's growth and operational excellence.

What you’ll do:

• Act as the primary finance point of escalation for the E33 project on matters related to E-Invoicing, tax inquiries, special projects, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Procure-to-Pay (PTP) issues, and other finance-related matters
• Ensure robust financial controls are in place, including month-end closing checklists, balance sheet reconciliations, accrual reviews, and supporting financial analyses
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where required and ensure compliance with Eaton's existing policies and internal control requirements
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for the E33 Manufacturing Plant
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Support inventory accounting, product costing, manufacturing accounting, and financial reporting processes for manufacturing plant
• Provide financial and accounting guidance to stakeholders and ensure proper documentation and support for accounting entries
• Assist with statutory financial reporting, compliance requirements, and external audit activities
• Partner with business leaders by providing financial insights, accounting advice, and support on key business initiatives
• Manage and support intercompany transactions, recharges, and R&D cost allocations
• Create and implement procedures to enhance internal controls and streamline financial processes
• Manage and support CAPEX accounting, fixed asset administration, and cost tracking activities for the E33 project, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate policies
• Participate in special projects and perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting/ Finance

Skills:

• Experience of finance/accounting within a multinational manufacturing environment
• Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP and IFRS desirable
• SAP/Oracle knowledge is preferred
• Technical capability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operational data/reports
• Experience in preparing financial statements for statutory reporting is required
• Ability to operate and deliver independently
• Self-starter with initiative and high learning agility
