Job description

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing our financial operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and thrive in a dynamic, SME business environment.

Key Accountabilities :
  • Prepare, examine, and analyse financial reports, statements, and records.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Oversee payroll processing and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Handle tax filings and ensure adherence to local laws.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
  • Develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
Additional Responsibilities :
  • Accept any other tasks assigned by management.
Person Specification :

Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of UAE tax laws and regulations (including VAT).
  • Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks, Tally) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
