The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing our financial operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and thrive in a dynamic, SME business environment.
Key Accountabilities :
- Prepare, examine, and analyse financial reports, statements, and records.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Oversee payroll processing and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Handle tax filings and ensure adherence to local laws.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
- Develop budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
Additional Responsibilities :
- Accept any other tasks assigned by management.
Person Specification :
Education & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong understanding of UAE tax laws and regulations (including VAT).
- Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks, Tally) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
