Job summary

American Hospital Dubai in Dubai seeks a leader to oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology section in the Laboratory.

You will train and supervise staff, drive quality improvement, handle proficiency testing, instrumentation troubleshooting, materials management and statistics, and ensure ongoing CAP and JCIA compliance, information management, safety and bench readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operation of Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology in the Laboratory.
• Trains and supervises assigned staff; drives quality improvement and QC.
• Manages instrumentation troubleshooting, proficiency testing, and materials management.
• Ensures ongoing CAP and JCIA accreditation compliance, safety, information management, and bench requirements.

Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology Section in the Laboratory, including Training and Supervision of assigned staff, Quality Improvement, Internal and External Quality Control, Trouble-shooting of instrumentation, Supervising the Proficiency Testing regime, Materials Management, Statistics, Method evaluation and setup, Ensure the Laboratory’s protocols ongoing compliance to College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards, Information management, Communication, Safety and daily Bench requirements.
