Job summary

Client of Edvectus is seeking a passionate Science Teacher with a Chemistry or Biology specialism to join an international school in Sharjah from August 2027. Initially, you will teach Middle School Science (Grades 7–9) for 2027/28, delivering engaging and practical lessons that inspire enquiry and rigorous thinking.

In 2028/29, as Grade 11 begins, the role will transition toward IB Diploma Programme Chemistry or Biology depending on your specialization. Prior IB DP experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Chemistry, Biology or a closely related discipline.
• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science at middle/secondary school level (grades 7–9).
• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Commitment to practical investigation and enquiry-based learning.
• Ability to plan a differentiated curriculum for diverse learners.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Willingness to contribute to a growing secondary school programme.
• IB Diploma Programme teaching experience in Chemistry or Biology is a plus.

Build scientific curiosity Shape the next generation of scientists An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry or Biology to join a developing international school in Sharjah from August 2027. The successful candidate will initially teach Middle School Science across Grades 7-9 during the 2027/28 academic year, delivering engaging, practical and intellectually stimulating lessons that encourage students to question, investigate and understand the world around them. You will help establish strong scientific foundations, nurture analytical thinking and inspire students to develop a genuine enthusiasm for scientific discovery. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally alongside the school. In the 2028/29 academic year, as the school welcomes its first Grade 11 cohort, the position will transition towards teaching IB Diploma Programme Chemistry or Biology depending on your specialism. Experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme in either subject would be a significant advantage.

• Previous IB Diploma Programme teaching experience in Chemistry or Biology would be highly desirable.
