Job Overview

Seeking Secondary Science (Physics) Teacher for Sharjah, Aug ’26 Start. Secondary Science Teacher (Physics Specialism) Start Date: August 2026 Curriculum: IB MYP / IB DP / Australian. Salary: Competitive and tax free, dependent on experience. Contract: 2 years.

Requirements

You will be expected to teach Physics within the Secondary School (typically Grade 9 to Grade 12). Experience delivering engaging, inquiry-based science lessons and developing strong conceptual understanding aligned with the IB MYP and/or IB DP frameworks is highly desirable.

Applicants must be qualified teachers, holding degree-level certification in Physics or Science and QTS or equivalent. You should have at least 2 years of post-qualification teaching experience in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, USA, or Canada.

Experience teaching IB MYP and/or IB Diploma Programme Physics is highly desirable. Australian curriculum experience is highly sought after; however, teachers with alternative curriculum experience who can evidence excellent teaching practice are also encouraged to apply. Previous international teaching experience is welcomed. Previous EAL teaching experience is also highly desirable.
