Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, seeks a Scent Design Associate for our Scent Creative Center in Dubai. You will collaborate across functions to contribute creatively to new fragrance themes, technologies, consumer solutions, and development processes.

Based in Dubai, you will work with perfumers, marketing, and technical teams to translate market and consumer insights into innovative fragrance solutions and to support Go-To-Market projects

Qualifications

• Masters or bachelor's degree in Perfumery Science, Chemistry, Consumer Science or related field.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Solid project management and process-oriented mindset.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of fragrance formulations and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Manage GTM projects and drive fragrance development strategies.
• Collaborate with perfumers, technical teams and marketing to develop fragrance solutions.
• Translate consumer insights into fragrance concepts.
• Share market insights and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.

Scent Design Associate

As Scent Design Associate you will collaborate across functions and levels to contribute creatively to the development and introduction of new fragrance themes technologies consumer solutions ideas and new development processes.

The role is based in our Scent Creative Center in Dubai.

Where Youll Make a Difference

• Manage Go-To-Market Projects and implement innovative fragrance development strategies
• Connect market customer and consumer needs to identify develop and/or recommend competitive product solutions to drive business results
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (perfumers technical consumer insights marketing) to uncover challenges and opportunities and develop new fragrance solutions and capabilities
• Develop creative strategies according to Holistic Scent Design principles
• Consumer Insights strategy: define what to learn from consumers to gain competitive advantage and build winning consumer relevant solutions
• Manage the execution of the olfactive strategy by providing creative direction and olfactive guidance to perfumers to stimulate creative exploration and differentiation
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with (internal) stakeholders and gain their trust and respect
• Communicate and maintain awareness on market developments and competitive insights and actively share knowledge with other parts of the organization

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Excellent olfactive communication skills which supports the overall creative process discriminate describe (association) and odor memory
• Ability to effectively identify potential fragrance or technology solutions based on market relevance
• Solid understanding of market/consumer trends and consumer behaviors/ preferences
• Fragrance ingredient and technology understanding to facilitate communication with technical teams and perfumers
• Basic technical understanding of fragrance formulations and assess stability risks
• Strong project management skills disciplined and process oriented
• Masters or bachelors degree in Perfumery Science Chemistry Consumer Science Product Research or any other relevant discipline
• Fluent in English
