Job summary

Forsyth Barnes is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with strong SAP EWM, MM and PM knowledge for Dubai-based client work. The role involves hands-on configuration, gathering requirements, and owning delivery across managed-service projects.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in SAP functional consulting, with deep EWM, MM and PM experience in SAP ERP or S/4HANA environments. On-site UAE based candidates are preferred for quick onboarding.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with strong combined expertise across SAP EWM, Materials Management (MM) and Plant Maintenance (PM).

The consultant will support a portfolio of managed-service clients alongside SAP ERP/S/4HANA projects, including brownfield implementations, ongoing production support, new requirements, enhancements and expansion work.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role requiring someone who can independently manage requirements, configure solutions and take ownership of issues through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the functional SME across SAP EWM, MM and PM.
• Work directly with clients to gather, understand and challenge business requirements.
• Translate requirements into appropriate SAP functional solutions.
• Configure and enhance SAP solutions across the relevant modules.
• Support end-to-end warehouse, procurement, inventory and maintenance processes.
• Manage production issues, bugs, change requests and new requirements through to resolution.
• Support SAP ERP/S/4HANA projects, including brownfield implementations and existing managed-service environments.
• Produce detailed functional documentation and specifications.
• Work with the in-house development team where technical development is required.
• Lead client discussions and proactively manage actions, issues and delivery.
• Understand integration and dependencies between EWM, MM, PM and the wider SAP landscape.
• Take full accountability for assigned workstreams and drive issues through to closure.

Required experience

• Ideally 8+ years of SAP functional consulting experience.
• Strong hands-on SAP EWM experience.
• Strong SAP MM functional experience.
• Strong SAP PM functional experience.
• Good understanding of end-to-end warehouse and inventory processes.
• Strong understanding of procurement and materials management processes.
• Experience across plant maintenance, maintenance planning and asset-related processes.
• Experience working within SAP ERP and/or S/4HANA environments.
• Experience across implementations, enhancements and application/production support.
• Strong requirements gathering and functional configuration capability.
• Comfortable independently managing client stakeholders.

The key requirement is someone who genuinely has functional capability across EWM, MM and PM, rather than deep expertise in one module with only limited exposure to the others.

Alongside SAP knowledge, we're looking for someone proactive and accountable who can understand the wider business requirement, communicate confidently with clients and take ownership from initial requirement through to successful resolution.

UAE-based candidates who can work on-site and join quickly are strongly preferred.
