Job summary

Globant is seeking Android Developers to join our UI Engineering Studio in Dubai. You will contribute to building and evolving mobile applications from inception to release, collaborating with client teams to deliver high-quality experiences.

We value expertise in Android APIs, lifecycle, MVVM/MVP, Jetpack components, multithreading, REST/JSON, and automated testing with Espresso. A BS in CS and strong English skills are required. Join us to work on large-scale projects and grow your career.

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of the Android System APIs and app lifecycle.
• Knowledge of open-source and commercial libraries used in the Android ecosystem (Jetpack, OKHttp/Retrofit, Dagger).
• Experience with multithreaded asynchronous code and UI animation implementation.
• Familiarity with MVVM/MVP architectural patterns and Espresso for testing.
• Strong REST/JSON web service knowledge and BS in CS.

Right now we are looking for Android Developers to join our UI Engineering Studio at Globant! This Studio builds and evolves Mobile Applications from inception to release in Stores partnering with our client teams always looking for 5star ratings.
What will help you succeed:

Expert understanding of the Android System APIs Android app lifecycle
Knowledge of opensource and commercial libraries commonly used in the Android ecosystem including android architecture components jetpack libraries okhttp retrofit dagger.
Knowledge of multithreaded asynchronous code.
Experience with animation and implementing user interface designs
Knowledge of architectural patterns such as MVVM and MVP.
Skilled at writing Unit tests and Automation tests with espresso.
Good understanding of Web services and SOA related standards like REST/JSON.
B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science.

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills.
