Job summary

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) is seeking an Associate Sanction Analyst (UAE Nationals ONLY) to conduct sanctions screening and payments reviews in Al Ain. You will investigate alerts, decide on clearance or blocking actions, and maintain meticulous documentation of all decisions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory standards. Responsibilities include preparing reports, staying updated on sanctions regulations, and supporting the sanctions

Qualifications

• Good understanding of UN, EU, UK and US (OFAC) / Export Controls Sanctions regulations.
• Good knowledge and experience reviewing of Payments, Trade transactions and Name screening.
• Proficient in writing with Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Report Writing Skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Ability to work on MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English (Arabic language reading/writing is an added advantage)

Responsibilities

• Investigate potential sanctions alerts as Level 1/Level 2 reviewer.
• Decide to clear or block transactions based on investigations.
• Resolve name screening alerts as true or false matches.
• Document review and disposition clearly and thoroughly.
• Meet SLAs and maintain high quality standards.
• Prepare and submit process-related reports.
• Stay updated with sanctions regulations and guidelines.
• Respond to RFIs and determine next steps after investigation.
• Investigate with banks and regulators as needed and maintain files.
• Collaborate with the Sanctions team to ensure timely reporting of matches or breaches.
• Assist and support training on sanctions and related activities.
