We are hiring a Sales Support Executive to be based in Dubai. The Sales Support Executive will be a member of the Sales & Marketing team, providing key retail sales support to two sales managers managing Africa.

How Will You Add Value?
  • Act as a key support to the External Wholesalers (EWS) managing Africa while dealing with external client queries efficiently, proactively and professionally.
  • Support EWS with client retention, through client service support, and prospecting new clients. Understand how our firm fits into the client’s asset mix, who are the decision makers at the distributors and the important client issues that relate to the relationship.
  • Respond to internal and external clients within agreed timelines. Monitor literature requests for quality, including review of client materials. Assist clients with client servicing issues and ensure operational efficiency when transactions are made.
  • Ensure department meets or exceeds all defined client reporting deadlines.
  • Develop processes to enhance reporting within department (quantitative & qualitative)
  • Work closely with the Managers, Client Services to conduct regular process reviews, identify weaknesses, and conduct on‑going performance analysis.
  • Ensure all reports to clients are accurate, relevant, produced, and dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Develop strong, personal relationships with the team; contribute to group discussions and continually make suggestions and help implement where appropriate on how to improve the service provided to clients.
  • Maintain strong understanding of FT products including the strengths and weaknesses of each product.
  • Stay up to date with our investment outlook and what is happening globally from a macro economic, market and geopolitical standpoint.
  • Serve as a resource for Sales team in onboarding new clients which may involve coordination with other business units.
  • Assist the sales managers in preparation of call reports, travel logs & admin documents, expense reports & monthly A&P Budget.
  • Work closely with marketing team for client gift procurement & shipping and inventories, and maintaining gifts and events logs for compliance purposes.
  • Coordinate client events, hotel bookings, client attendance, marketing materials, marketing arrangements, PM Request form and banners at event. Technology testing and checks.
  • Demonstrate understanding and compliance with regulatory and risk requirements, corporate Code of Ethics, including adoption of policies.
  • Provide MIS reporting and administrative support to sales managers.
  • Keep the CRM system updated with all relevant client information. Ensure ongoing maintenance within relevant CRM system.
  • Coordinate and oversee other special projects in department as needed and assigned by Manager.
  • Assist Manager with strategic planning initiatives.
What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?
  • University degree with concentration in finance and/or economics preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience within Asset Management, with knowledge and background of Client Service and/or Sales Support, is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of financial services industry with previous experience in the financial industry preferred.
  • Good understanding of investments and the investment process.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to converse in Zulu, Xhosa, Afrikaans, Swahili, Arabic would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to be flexible with client needs dictating required focus.
  • Ability for independent decision making skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment.
