Job summary

A leading piping solutions company is seeking a Sales Engineer in the UAE. You will be responsible for promoting the product range, providing training to contractors, and liaising with distributors. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree and at least 5 years of experience in the commercial sector, particularly in HVAC and mechanical systems. Strong communication skills and fluency in Arabic and English are essential for this role. You will travel as needed to ensure product installation and support.

The Role

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for Sales and the development of the Victaulic product range and system in the UAE.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for sales and promotion of Company product range in the UAE.
  • Report on weekly basis to his superior on activities and marketing information and achieve the budgeted sales and results in his territory.
  • Create demand at Owners, Engineering Offices, Contractors to:
    • Promote the Victaulic System for binding application products in the UAE.
    • Field demonstrates the proper installation of the Victaulic product & tool range
  • Insure that the proper knowledge of the Victaulic products and system is present in the UAE, through usage of adequate means such as: seminars, training, technical support.
  • Liaise with the local Victaulic distributor, and ensure the proper information flow is available and maintained.
  • Visit job sites and follow up of installation process of the Victaulic System by the contractor. Train the contractor's personnel in usage and installation of the Victaulic system if required.
  • Handle product claims in cooperation with Victaulic Corporate Engineering department.
  • Provide assistance to finance personnel in collecting receivables on customers.
  • Co-ordinate with other sales colleagues in the territory.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Mechanical engineering degree.
  • Technical knowledge acquired through experience (minimum 5 years).
  • Ability to lead a business process within mechanical building services.
  • Familiarity with the piping and valves business or show the ability to quickly acquire the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience working in commercial sector with strong business relationships with contractors, MEP and consultants.
  • Strong background in HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Independent problem-solving abilities and out of the box thinking.
  • Willing to travel as required.
  • Has strong communication skills and professional appearance.
  • Living in the UAE.
  • Arabic speaker and fluent in English
