Overview

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across our furniture manufacturing facility in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in factory or production environments and thorough knowledge of UAE Health & Safety laws, Sharjah Municipality regulations, and Civil Defence requirements.

The role involves implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, training employees, investigating incidents, and ensuring a safe working environment for all factory and site personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, Sharjah Municipality, Civil Defence, and local HSE regulations.
  • Implement company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
  • Identify hazards related to machinery, woodworking equipment, CNC machines, spray booths, electrical works, and manual handling.
  • Investigate accidents and prepare corrective action reports.
  • Ensure proper PPE usage, fire systems, signage, and emergency exits.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and fire safety programs.
  • Maintain safety documentation, permits, and training records.
  • Conduct induction training for new employees.
  • Liaise with authorities during inspections.
  • Monitor contractor safety compliance.
  • Promote a positive safety culture.
Qualifications & Experience
