Job summary

EDGE Group, based in Abu Dhabi, seeks an RF Integration Engineer to support the integration of NEMUS radar and EW subsystems across platforms. You will focus on RF budget, antenna siting, system alignment, RF testing, and resolving interference and EMI/EMC issues.

The role requires a degree in Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering and 5+ years of RF integration experience, with hands-on use of RF test equipment and willingness to travel to sites including desert campaigns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of RF integration experience on radar/EW/communications systems.
• Solid knowledge of antenna theory, RF propagation, and EMI/EMC principles.
• Hands-on experience with RF and electronic test equipment.
• Willingness to travel to integration/test sites, including desert/field campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Support RF-level integration of NEMUS radar and EW subsystems on each platform.
• Conduct RF budget and coexistence analyses (isolation, filtering, deconfliction) between radar, EW and other RF emitters.
• Define antenna siting, cable routing and mounting to minimize blockage and EMI/EMC.
• Assist integration and alignment of AESA panels, EW antennas, EO/IR camera and DF antennas.
• Perform RF chain measurements and testing using spectrum/network analyzers and power meters.
• Troubleshoot RF-related issues during integration, FAT/SAT and field trials.
• Prepare RF interface specs, antenna layouts, and RF test reports.
• Support environmental and EMC qualification testing of RF subsystems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Pulse Nova is seeking an RF Integration Engineer to support the integration of NEMUS radar and electronic warfare (EW) subsystems across various platforms. The role will focus on RF budget and coexistence analysis, antenna placement, system alignment, RF testing, and troubleshooting interference and EMI/EMC issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Systems Integration Engineer in the RF-level integration of the NEMUS radar and EW subsystems on each platform.
• Perform RF budget and coexistence analysis (isolation, filtering, frequency deconfliction) between radar, EW, and other RF emitters on the same platform.
• Define and execute antenna siting, cable routing, and mounting to minimize blockage, mutual coupling, and EMI/EMC between subsystems.
• Support integration and alignment of the radar's AESA antenna panels, EW antennas, EO/IR camera, and direction-finding antennas.
• Perform RF chain measurements and testing (VSWR, insertion loss, isolation, spectrum occupancy) using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters.
• Support troubleshooting of RF-related issues during integration, FAT/SAT, and field trials.
• Prepare RF interface specifications, antenna layout drawings, and RF test reports.
• Support environmental and EMC qualification testing of RF subsystems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in RF integration of radar, EW, or communications systems.
• Solid knowledge of antenna theory, RF propagation, and EMI/EMC principles.
• Hands-on experience with RF and electronic test equipment.
• Experience mitigating co-site interference between multiple RF systems is a strong plus.
• Experience with RF installations on naval, ground-vehicle, or airborne platforms is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to integration and test sites, including desert/field campaigns.
