Overview
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for leading the front-of-house team, ensuring smooth daily operations, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role supports the Cluster Restaurant Manager in operational tasks, including stock management, reporting, and team supervision, while maintaining The Dose by Silvena’s high standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Supervise the FOH team to ensure guests receive professional, friendly, and efficient service.
- Guest inquiries and complaints: Handle all guest inquiries and complaints personally, ensuring issues are resolved immediately and professionally. Escalating major issues to the Cluster Restaurant Manager.
- Work environment: Ensure the restaurant environment is welcoming, clean, and organized at all times.
Team Supervision & Training
- Lead, mentor, and train new FOH team members on service standards, menu knowledge, POS operation, and hygiene.
- Conduct daily briefings and follow up on team tasks to ensure accountability and quality.
- Motivate the team to maintain high service standards during all shifts.
- Prepare and manage the FOH duty schedule, ensuring adequate staffing for all shifts.
Stock Management & Ordering
- Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes for beverages, disposables, and service items.
- Place stock orders as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with restaurant needs.
- Monitor stock usage, wastage, and shortages, reporting findings to the Cluster Restaurant Manager.
Reporting & Operational Support
- Submit daily sales reports and assist with cash and POS reconciliation.
- Ensure FOH stations, service areas, and beverage counters are properly set up and maintained.
- Oversee service flow and team allocation during shifts to optimize efficiency.
Compliance & Standards
- Enforce hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards among FOH staff.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and Dubai Municipality health and safety regulations.
- Report operational or maintenance issues promptly for resolution.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a premium restaurant or café.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a hands-on approach to team management.
- Knowledge of stock management, ordering procedures, and reporting.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
- Proficient in POS systems and basic computer applications.
