Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer - Iconic/Interchange Stations to oversee delivery of large, complex and high-profile building projects, ensuring construction excellence, quality and timely execution.

You will lead site supervision, coordinate with contractors and clients, and manage multidisciplinary teams to integrate building services, structural systems and high-end finishes. 15-18 years' experience and Chartered Engineer preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site supervision activities for large-scale and complex building projects.
• Ensure construction is delivered in line with design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Oversee integration of building services, structural systems, façades, cladding, and high-end finishes.
• Provide technical guidance on structural steel works, façade systems, and complex building interfaces.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client teams to ensure effective project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards across all site activities.
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams including engineers, inspectors, and specialists.
• Conduct regular meetings, reporting, and presentations to senior stakeholders and clients.
• Represent the organization in high-level stakeholder forums and client engagements.

The role requires strong leadership to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure seamless integration of architectural, structural, and building services elements.

Your role

• Lead and manage site supervision activities for large-scale and complex building projects.
• Ensure construction is delivered in line with design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

About you

Experience

• Minimum 15 - 18 years of experience in construction supervision/engineering roles.
• Proven experience delivering large, complex, and iconic building projects.
• Strong exposure to:
• Structural steel systems.
• High-end architectural finishes.
• Façade and cladding works.
• Experience in rail-related projects is highly desirable (not mandatory).
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex building services integration (MEP).

• Act as the key interface between the client, consultants, and contractors.
• Lead coordination efforts across all stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Manage expectations and provide clear, proactive communication at all levels.
